Mrs. Massey is burdened by the condition of today’s family, passing down painful patterns, and crumbling under the pressure of work and academics. She aspires to see families communicate effectively, connect throughout life’s changes and integrate spiritual well being into their family life.
Mrs. Massey realized God was calling her to serve families through passion, opportunity and 2 Corinthians 1:1-3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” Through her experiences she is uniquely able to connect with divorced and blended families, military families, First Responders, ADHD, Learning disordered, and PTSD clients.
Currently, Mrs. Massy offers Group Psychotherapy and Intensive Short Term Psychotherapy services. Group therapy is effective for many different reasons. In can be used to introduce someone to counseling, offer education so that individual sessions are more productive, and provide a setting to main progress from therapy. Intensive short term means that clients are participating in more than one therapy service such as group and individual and/or extended sessions that last 2-3 hours. Intensive therapy is beneficial for people who are very motivated to make a specific change or who have not been able to make changes in previous therapy, but not necessarily for people who are in crisis. It requires a time, energy and financial commitment but goals can be achieved in a shorter amount of time.
