Rebecca Messmann

Rebecca received her BA in Interpersonal and Public Communication from Purdue University, Indiana.  She received her Master’s Certificate in Learning Therapy from Southern Methodist University, Texas.  Rebecca is a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) through the Academic Language Therapy Association (  Rebecca is also a Certified Dyslexia Therapist through the International Dyslexia Association (

Rebecca has been involved with special needs children since college where she was active with the Council for Exceptional Children.   When faced with dyslexia and ADHD in her own family she was introduced to the Orton-Gillingham Program through the public school system in Texas.  Returning to higher learning to pursue her Master’s Certificate in Learning Therapy her initial focus was how to assist her own family.  Helping her own children to be successful learners inspired Rebecca to open a private practice in Texas that focused on dyslexic learners.

Upon relocating to Greenville, SC Rebecca incorporated ADHD, Academic and Cognitive Coaching into her practice.  She has provided educational services at Still Wind Ministries for five years before adding her role our Network Services Manager.

Rebecca and her family are members of Messiah Lutheran Church.
