Janelle Lackey
Janelle joined SWM in 2019. She desires to walk alongside clients as they navigate their journey to healing and hope.
Approach / Specialty
Janelle primarily utilizes IFS-informed EMDR therapy. She also integrates other forms of evidence-based therapy models, always coming from a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed perspective. Her counseling experience includes working with those who have experienced complicated trauma, abuse, grief, depression, and anxiety.
Janelle received a BS in Business from Palm Beach Atlantic University. After spending many years volunteering both domestically and internationally, she decided to pursue a master's degree in professional counseling from Liberty University. In addition to certification in EMDR and training in CBT/REBT and IFS parts work, Janelle has had specialized training in the treatment of complex trauma.
Training / Experience
Interests
Janelle mostly loves being outdoors...camping, hiking, gardening, or even reading a book on the deck. She loves animals! Her dog, Jocassee (Jojo), often comes to work with her. Recently, she has really enjoyed trying new recipes and expanding her cooking abilities.
