Tausha Hicks is the founder and owner of Equipped Counseling, Coaching and Consulting LLC. She provides therapy, counseling, and parent education services to clients. She has experience treating children, adults, couples, groups and families. Her approach to counseling integrates a clear Scriptural perspective with effective, reliable therapeutic interventions. She partners with individuals, couples, and families to work toward emotional and spiritual health. She is also available to serve the unique needs of pastors and ministry families. She is also passionate about teaching parents how to fill their toolbox with positive and proactive parenting skills based on their core beliefs.
Tausha received a dual B.A. in Communication and Political Science from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN and a M.A. in Christian Counseling from the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. She is currently licensed by the South Carolina Board of Examiners as a Licensed Professional Counselor and is in the process of becoming a State Board-approved LPC Supervisor.
Her professional experience includes advanced clinical training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and other Attachment-based models. She is passionate about equipping couples with the necessary tools for successful life-long relationships, which led her to become certified in various marital and premarital assessment tools.
